North Branford Thunderbird Cheerleaders Host Youth Clinic

28 youth cheerleaders got to learn sidelines, a cheer routine and a cheer dance at a youth clinic hosted by the North Branford Thunderbird cheerleaders at North Farms Park on Saturday August 10th. They put on a terrific performance for the proud parents and really showed their stuff! The clinic was led by senior captain Jessica Raucci and junior captains Olyvia Gleason and Carly Mastriano.

One of the best things I observed at the clinic (and something that really points out how caring the squad is) was when one youth cheerleader cried because her mother missed the performance due to traffic. The squad stayed until the mother arrived and then put on a special repeat performance with the youth cheerleader so her mother could see what she learned.

The clinic is a great way to expose young cheerleaders to the rigors of varsity cheerleading and we sure hope to see them on the squad when they get to high school!
