Laurin Gagne, the senior class president for North Branford High School's Class of 2013, shares some keys to her successes.

As we count down to graduation on Tuesday, June 25 for North Branford High School's Class of 2013, we're taking some time to get to know some of the top students of the graduating class

Today, meet Laurin Gagne, the senior class president, who tells us a little bit about her high school career, some keys to her successes and her future plans.

What activities were you involved in throughout high school? Chorus, Select Chorus, Drama Club, National Honor Society, Varsity Soccer, Track & Field, Art Club, Kaleidoscope, Student Council, 2013 Class President, President of the Gay-Straight Alliance

What was your favorite subject? None. Any opportunity to learn is a privilege.

Who was your favorite/most influential teacher?
 Michael Berry

What are your future plans?
Major in Film and Screen Studies at Pace University at NYC.

What is the key to your success? Being as kind as possible and not touching anything with only half a heart.

Is there anyone you would like to thank? My mother and father for providing a safe, healthy, and loving environment to grow up in. Cindy Genzano, Michael Carnaroli, Nicole Lacroix and Michael Berry for awarding me so many incredible opportunities for leadership and success over the last 4 years and consistently offering their guidance throughout. The Class of 2013 for trusting me as their Class President. And of course, the North Branford School System for preparing me for my life's future endeavors.

What will you miss about NBHS? How guiding, friendly, and truly influential our teaching staff is. And more than anything, I will miss the community – but more over the family – that the Class of 2013 has grown to become.
