For the third year, Jerome Harrison Elementary School was transformed for Read Across America Day, held in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday. This year's theme was based on pirates and called "Books Arrrr a Treasure."

Students and staff donned pirate garb, guest speakers read tales of the high seas, parents dished out pirate-themed grub in the "ship's galley" and everyone enjoyed the amazing decorations that included treasure chests, palm trees and a huge pirate ship.
