Playoff Season in Full Swing for North Branford Little League

Several North Branford teams have already won their division with many more still competing in the postseason.

The Little League season may be over for some, but several of our hometown teams have extended their spring a bit longer, still competing in district play.

The 9-10 baseball team was slated to start play on July 1 but rain postponed the games. The 10-11 baseball team currently stands at 0-2 and plays again on Tuesday, July 2 vs. Max Sinoway in North Haven at 5:30 p.m. The 11-12 baseball team topped East Haven and Pop Smith in its opening games and will play again on Tuesday, July 2, hosting Cheshire at 8 p.m.

The 9-10 softball team begins play on Sunday, July 7 at Milford at 1 p.m. The 11-12 softball team is awaiting its championship game against Orange, which was postponed from July 1 due to rain. Orange took game one 6-3 in the best-of-three series on June 29 before North Branford earned an 8-3 victory on June 30.

North Branford Little League held its playoffs with Cedro Bananas taking the Majors title with a win over Tilcon; Leoni's earning the Pee Wee National banner by topping Barnum Financial; and P&M Orange Street Market winning the Minors championships. Congrats to all!
