TRAFFIC ALERT: Rt. 80 Resurfacing Project To Begin Thursday

The milling and resurfacing project of 1.36 miles of Rt. 80 in North Branford will run until Friday, July 26.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 80 in North Branford beginning Thursday, July 18.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing the 1.36 miles of Route 80 in North Branford.  This project is scheduled to occur Thursday, July 18, to Friday, July 26.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, July 23, to Friday afternoon July 26.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 80 between the East Haven Town Line and .02 mile west of Route 22.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday morning – Friday afternoon).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
