A Much Needed Break from Heavy Rain

About 3 to 5 inches of rain fell across the entire state these last few days. Although we can see some showers this weekend, it will not be nearly as heavy as what we have seen.

Meanwhile in the tropics, Tropical Storm Maria is beginning to take shape and head west-northwest towards the southeast coast. It is still several days away from reaching U.S. soil but will continue to be monitored closely.

Today: Any lingering fog during the early morning hours will burn off, leaving mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be a bit warm in the low- to mid-80s. There is a very slight chance for an overnight sprinkle with lows in the low-60s.

Saturday: Expect mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance for light rain shower throughout the day. Any precipitation will be very light and short-lived. Daytime highs around 80 degrees, with overnight lows in the upper-50s.
