16-Year-Old Boy On Bicycle Struck & Killed in North Haven

North Branford Police, part of the South Central Regional Traffic Unit, are assisting in the accident reconstruction investigation. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident on Clintonville Road to call.

A 16-year-old boy riding a bicycle on Clintonville Road near Country Way Wednesday evening was struck by a car. He later died of his injuries, police said.

The boy was not identified.

Lt. Kevin Glenn said in a press release that the accident happened at 5:10 p.m. The boy was struck by a car traveling west on Clintonville Road.  He was transported to a local hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.

The South Central Regional Traffic Unit is conducting the investigation. The S.C.R.T.U. is comprised of accident reconstruction specialist from the , North Branford and North Haven Police Departments.
