Sofia Cavalier's Art Fires Up The Competition!
4th-grader Sofia's artwork recently won first place in a state-wide Fire Prevention competition.

- Activities: Sofia dances at Steppin' Out Dance Center in Branford. She has been dancing for seven years, doing ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics and hip-hop. This is her third year playing softball for North Branford.
- Other Interests: Sofia loves to draw and do arts and crafts, she listens to music all the time and she is already a seasoned shopper! She loves the and the . She enjoys playing with her brother Christopher and her little cousin Addison, and spending time with her family and friends.
- Future Plans: Sofia would like to be a teacher–and a dance teacher like her mom.
- Accomplishments: Sofia recently won first place in the 4th-grade Fire Prevention Poster Contest at TVES. Her poster went on to the statewide competition representing North Branford and won first place for New Haven County. Sofia and her family will be attending a special luncheon for her prize presentation.
- Key to Awesomeness: She is a very bright and energetic girl who loves to socialize and learn new things. She has a very creative mind and she loves to make things for people. Sofia’s family proudly displays her artwork all over the house! She is organized and meticulous and always puts her all into everything she does.
