North Branford's Cooney Named To Register's All-Area Golf Team
A.J. Cooney, a senior at North Branford High, finished second in the Shoreline Conference tournament this year.
This week, North Branford High School senior A.J. Cooney was named to the New Haven Register's All-Area golf team.
The Register reports that Cooney finished second in the Shoreline Conference tournament this year after shooting a 72 and then finished tied for fifth for the Division III state tournament after he shot a 76. Cooney, was has since graduated, will play at Assumption College next year, according to the newspaper.
