North Branford Resident Is Finalist For Youth Volunteer Award

Emilia Norton is one of 34 young people from Connecticut being recognized for her volunteer efforts

 

Kohl's Department Store has announced that North Branford resident Emilia Norton is a finalist in the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program.

The 11-year-old is one of 34 youth from Connecticut recognized by Kohl's for outstanding volunteer efforts in the community.

According to the news release, Norton and the other finalists are in the running for a $1,000 regional scholarship in July.

Kohl's will award national finalists with up to $10,000 in scholarships through the Kohl's Cares program.

Each of the 34 Connecticut finalists will receive a $50 gift card and recognition certificate, the release says.
