Hello North Branford! I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as the local editor for North Branford Patch. I may be a familiar face to some of you as I've been around town for a while. If you don't know me, I hope to meet you soon!

I moved to North Branford in second grade and my parents still live in the house I grew up in (Hi Mom and Dad!). I graduated from North Branford High School in 1997 where I was involved in the drama club, Peer Advocates, manager of the hockey team and a JV soccer player for three years (athletics obviously weren't my strong suit!). 

After high school, I went to Southern Connecticut State University. It took a while to figure out exactly what I wanted to major in, but once I took my first journalism class, I was hooked.

About a year after graduating, I got my first job in the journalism field at Shore Publishing (The Sound) as an editorial assistant. After having my first child in May 2005, I returned to work in June, taking over as sports editor, a position I held for six years. 

Throughout that time, I covered North Branford High School sports, getting to know the athletic director, coaches, athletes, parents and community members. I'm very excited to continue these relationships in my new post and build new ones in the community as well. 

I'm now married with four kids and looking forward to becoming an even bigger part of North Branford as the local editor for Patch.
