3 Questions for Rec Director Pam Gery: Oct. 11

North Branford Rec has a lot on the horizon including fundraisers for the dog park and a move to new facilities.

North Branford Patch: What's new in your department?
Pam Gery:
We are having a WAG-A-THON – a 3-mile walk with your dog on the town-owned Augur property – before the start of our Bark at the Park event on Saturday, Oct. 20.  This is a fundraiser going towards the town's first Dog Park. If you would like to support this fundraiser you can sign up at www.nbparkrec.com or you can simply make a monetary donation at www.northbranfordunleashed.com.

North Branford Patch: What's something residents need to know?
Pam Gery:
Olympus Construction has been awarded the contract for the Stanley T. Williams project and will begin work inside the building within the next few weeks. By next summer, the North Branford Community Center / Senior Center will be open for business at its new location in the former Stanley T. Williams school at 1332 Middletown Avenue.

North Branford Patch: What's your favorite thing about North Branford?
Pam Gery:
All of the supportive residents!
