Prayer vigils and remembrance ceremonies are being hosted across the country in the wake of yesterday's shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. All are welcome to join a prayer vigil tonight, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. at North Branford Congregational Church.
Yesterday, Zion Episcopal Church had a sign in front of its doors that it was open for prayers, as well.
Nearby towns are holding similar ceremonies as the leaders of East Haven's St. Vincent de Paul and the Old Stone Church will hold a joint candlelight vigil in Margaret Tucker Park, which is the small park in front of Old Stone Church, at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
