Remembering Meridith Fletcher–Mother, Daughter, Friend

Meridith Fletcher will be missed by many. What do you remember most about Meridith?

Meridith Fletcher's life was cut short on June 9 when she was at her . Fletcher was raised by Jean and in North Branford and graduated from in 1990.

Charles Monte offered his prayers for the family on North Branford Patch's Facebook wall. Monte grew up with the family and went to school with Meridith's brother; he also lived with them for a while when he was younger. Now his daughter is at the middle school with Meridith's son.

"They're a very good family. Jean, the mother, is a saint," said Monte, who remembers Meridith fondly. "She was always happy and would do anything for anybody–just an all-around great person."

As the , people began to share their condolences for the life lost and pass messages of sympathy on to her family in the comments.

: Meredith, you will be missed by all! You always had a big heart for helping people in need. Whenever we crossed you always asked how my little girl doing? She cared so much and asked so little!! You will always be in thoughts and in my heart. Thanks you for being a special friend.

: Dear Meredith, you will be missed by many, you would always help out at the stand at Wall field, and when Austin would come up to bat you would be there at the fence cheering him on. That is how I will remember you.

: RIP Mer, You so didn't deserve this! Prayers for your dad to make a full recovery and for your mom and all the kids and for them to be strong for the kids they are going to need them now more than ever! Ive known Mer and her family since I was 10 and they are VERY good people. Mer was a wonderful person also. I've never known her to have a mean bone in her body. Jeannie, Richie and Steven....always keep the memories close..remember all the good times.....I know that the area where they lived is very close knit and will pull together and be strong for eachother and the kids.....As much as we want to say other things that we are thinking..we really need to think twice b/c I'm sure the older kids will read this ,they know the truth, but at a time like this let them mourn the loss without having to be reminded of the other stuff. You'll always be remembered Mer xoxo
