NBPD DARE Officer Attends Fundraising Event

North Branford Police Department's DARE Officer Timothy Cunningham attended a fundraising event in Wallingford with NASCAR driver Joey Logano.

Joey Logano, the NASCAR Sprint Cup driver who began his racing career at Silver City Quarter Midget Club, visited On Track Karting in Wallingford on Jan. 29 for a fundraiser in support of the Meriden-based non-profit organization that has been giving kids between the ages of 5 and 16 the chance to race cars for more than 50 years. Logano was there to sign autographs and greet his fans. 

Officer Timothy Cunningham, the DARE officer for the , also attended the event. The very unique North Branford Police  DARE vehicle, which was prominantley displayed, was a huge hit. Children and adults were amazed by the craftsmanship that was put into the DARE car, which was originally sponsored and built through the generous support of the Connecticut Street Road Association.
