There are only a handful of days left in June–and only two business days including today. And while that means the fun in the sun has begun, it also means it's time to get your favorite pet pooch a new license.
In North Branford, there are currently just more than 400 dogs registered, according to the –down about 300 from the 2011-12 total.
According to the town’s website, “Owners must present rabies certificate with the expiration date of the rabies vaccine. If the dog is neutered or spayed, a certificate from the veterinarian with the date of the procedure must be presented.”
The cost for registering your spayed or neutered dog, which is mandated by the state, is $8, while the fee for a non-neutered or non-spayed dog is $19. Fees are accepted in cash or by check. After June 30, a late fee of $1 per month is charged in addition to the fees below.
