North Branford's interim town manager, Bonnie Therrien, shares the weekly report for the week ending March 22, 2013.

Some highlights from the report include:

  • Town Council will hold a budget workshop on Tuesday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
  • The STEP UP Propgram has various resources available to small businesses, offering iniatives for hiring persons who are currently unemployed.
  • The Hazardous Waste Committe will hold an E-Waste Collection on Saturday, April 6. Leaf drop-off dates are Saturdays, April 6, 13, 20 and 27.
  • Foreclosure sale of Amato's property will be held on June 1. 

Information included with the report (at the bottom of the PDF) includes:

  • The CT Department of Labor's unemployment numbers for the region; North Branford stands at 7.4 percent for January 2013.
  • Letter stating that the Dudley house and barns at 167 Sea Hill Road are listed on the State Register of Historic Places.
  • Information from John Valente, specialist in real estate appraisals, whose proposal to appraise state- and town-owned properties on Route 80 would cost $12,450.

Therrien was named North Branford's interim town manager at the July 10 Town Council meeting after the town made an "amicable split" with former town manager Richard Branigan.
