3 Questions for Superintendent Schoonmaker: Aug. 22

North Branford's superintendent of schools shares the latest happenings in the North Branford school district and more.

In addition to the regular questions of 'What's new in your department?' and 'What's something residents should know?,' this week North Branford Patch is already thinking about  (sorry kids!) and asks our town officials, including Scott Schoonmaker, about their favorite subject to study growing up.

North Branford Patch: What’s new in your department?
Schoonmaker: We are entertaining the process of for the physical education department and community. The press box is long overdue and in dire need of replacement. The beach volleyball will provide an opportunity for children and adults to participate in a healthy activity while having a great deal of fun. This gives a new experience to the children of North Branford.

North Branford Patch: What's something residents should know?
Schoonmaker: Bus schedules will be mailed by the end of this week (by Aug. 24) to the residents of North Branford. New district calendars will be distributed the first day of school. We are very proud of the student artwork contained in the calendar!

North Branford Patch: What was your favorite subject in school growing up?
Schoonmaker: My favorite subject was science. I loved the excitement of completing an experiment whether it failed or not–you always learned something from it.
