A Snow Day for North Branford Schools – in November

Yesterday's storm dropped plenty of snow on town and with slick and dangerous road conditions, school will be closed today, Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012.

It's starting to feel a little like summer vacation – minus the warmth, nice weather and beach days! With four days off due to Hurricane Sandy last week and Monday and Tuesday off this week, students headed back to class on Wednesday, but Nor'easter Athena put a quick end to that with an unexpected amount of snow.

With buses sliding on slick streets yesterday afternoon and the snow accumulating through the frigid night, the North Branford school district closed schools today, Thursday, Nov. 8. (Don't forget to check out the great photos coming in of North Branford and Northford's November Nor'easter snowscapes and add your own, too!)

This marks the fifth school closure due to weather in the 2012-13 school year (and the past two weeks!). According to the North Branford schools' website, "Days beyond 6 snow days (June 25, 2013) will be taken from the end of Spring Recess (April 15-19, 2013)."
