JHS's Lexia Reading Program to Be Featured by Administrator Magazine

Professional filmmakers were at Jerome Harrison Elementary School in North Branford to feature the school's use of Lexia reading software for Scholastic.

Things were busier than usual at on Jan. 20 New York City filmmakers visiting classrooms and interviewing students and teachers about their experience with Lexia, the reading software the school uses.

The program will be featured online at Scholastic Administrator and is expected to be published on Feb. 10.

North Branford and Northford residents will see some familiar faces as the crews interviewed , teachers and students about their experience with the Lexia program.

Collin Earnst, vice president of marketing at Lexia, was also on hand throughout the day.

The group saw Lexia in action in two different classrooms, visiting Claudia Faughnan's kindergarten classes and Amy Aiken's 2nd-grade class.
