T-Birds Head to States and More Events This Week in North Branford

This week you can cheer on North Branford in the state tournament, learn about foreclosure prevention, check out a talent show and more!

With many people off for Memorial Day, it's a short week as we close out the final days of May. Here are five things to know about the coming week in North Branford. For a full list of stuff to do, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Worried About Foreclosure? Head to the Hagaman Library in East Haven for Foreclosure Prevention Clinics (The ROOF PROJECT) on Tuesday, May 28 at 5:30 p.m.

2. NBHS Sports: The North Branford T-Birds head into the state tournament this week with the baseball team taking the No. 3 seed, earning a bye in the first round. The T-Birds will host the winner of the Grasso Tech-O'Brien Tech play-in game on May 28. The 20th-seeded softball team plays 13th-seeded HK, also on May 28. The track championships on May 29.  The girls' lacrosse team, boys' tennis team and girls' tennis team did not qualify for states. 

3. North Branford Town Meetings for the week include a special meeting of the Permanent Project Building Committee on Tuesday, May 28 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

4. North Branford's Got Talent! Head to North Branford High School on Friday, May 31 to see just how talented the students are in the NBHS Talent Show.
 
5. Looking Ahead:  on Friday, May 31; Knights of Columbus Giant Flee Market/Tag SalePet Adoption Event and Neighborhood Tag Sale on Saturday, June 1; 13th Annual Touch-A-Truck and Sally Andersen-Bruce Shelter Pet Photo & Stamp Exhibit on Sunday, June 2.
